Over a decade ago, a conclusion was made, I had endured too many firings, bankruptcies, and other changes in my working world that created dire economic circumstances.
There had to be a better way. My domestication had taught me that a job would provide for me over a complete lifetime.
HOGWASH!
All my eggs had been in one basket over a dozen times before evaporating overnight.
The term “Multiple Income Streams” began to show up. It seemed like a better alternative.
So, I set out to investigate what skills were already in my tool box that may lead to a new self sufficiency.

Turns Out I Had Many
25 income streams so far, that is until I set my sights on Affiliate Marketing.
Now the number is growing steadily.
Affiliate marketing is a type of advertising where businesses reward one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.
Essentially, the internet has brought the ability for anyone to be a sales person for literally thousands of products.
During my career, I have hired and trained sales teams who come to one location and do selling to customers who walked in the door. Those sales people were asked to show up 50 hours a week at a brick and mortar location. In a suit and tie none the less. For a small percentage of each sales commission.
Now that position can be had by anyone from the comfort of their own home.
One of the companies I work with represents 1225 brands.

Change Your Life
The commissions can be very handsome, some starting at a modest 2% to others offering a whooping 50% per sale.
I have yet to inquire to a company that does not have an affiliate marketing program and more are being added daily.
Many of your own existing sales channels can be used to attract buyers. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumbler, even your own website and blog.
Some even offer browser tools that you can create a link from, to any page you are looking at. AJC software pays a commission of 30% on any purchase a customer makes after coming in from your link.
How many sales commissions like that would you need per month to make a difference in your quality of life?
The sites even provide reporting so you can see what approaches are working and which are not.

Social media accounts are free. Websites are nearly free.
